ABOUT: 

Green coconuts have a green, smooth and hard outer shell. The interior of a green coconut is white and pulpy. As green coconuts have not begun developing white edible pulp, they are harvested mainly for their water. Coconut water is a clear fluid that has a sweet and nut-like flavor and it improves digestion, minimizes bloating, and maintains blood pressure and the electrolyte balance in one’s body. Coconut’s fall into the category of drupes. Typically grown in Indonesia, The Philippine’s, and India, green coconuts can also be grown in South Florida.

HANDLING:

Young Green Coconuts should be held at temperatures of 55° to 60° F. Shelf-life for up to 7- 14 days.
